    almost one year

    feeling nostalgic now that our anniversary is tomorrow.

    words cannot describe this day. i was sweating when he saw me in my dress for the first time (not just because it was the middle of the summer, ha) from anxiousness. you probably wouldn't believe me if i said my dress arrived in the mail the day before these photos were booked, and we bought andrew's suit the morning of (his custom suit wasn't ready in time)... homegirl was on edge, y'all. these lavender fields were a dream of mine to take wedding photos in and we got pretty lucky to have snagged it right in time. tessa captured some special memories for us.

    not so sweet summer heat

    i have always had memories of the texas heat feeling like living in an oven in the summer, it was the only way i knew how to live - until i lived in utah for the last five years. i will never take the cool shade utah offers in the summer time for granted ever again! shade in texas just means there's more mosquitoes there. needless to say, i haven't put on a pair of pants since march. dresses, you are my life line. and i thank you for keeping me sane during the summer. ace & jig offer so many darling dresses that are versatile for each season, click the link to shop my exact one!

    olive branch dreams!

    welcome to my face, y'all!
    i don't normally spend a lot of money on myself, especially on jewelry. the only earrings and rings i own are special ones andrew has gifted to me over these last few years, so i cherish them and wear them every day. and then one day - mejuri was introduced to me and all my olive branch jewelry dreams came true. their pieces are so intricate yet simple, i feel like these were custom made to fit my wardrobe. i mean... these ear jackets! such a fun way to dress up your face, y'all. and husbands who are reading this - your bride needs these. neeeds i say.

    fourth of july

    i am grateful for this blessed holiday, fourth of july. i am grateful to be born in a country where i am free to start a business on my own, from scratch, in the comfort of my home. i am proud to own an all-american made brand name that was born just from an idea and some hard working hands. lastly, i am grateful for those that have supported my work since the beginning and continue to. i love this country and the proud people that call america their home.

    i hope everyone enjoyed the holiday weekend! my family enjoyed some classic bbq, fireworks from home and swimming in my parent's backyard on the ranch. i'm convinced i might as well throw out my clothes and live in my swimmers for the next few months...or probably for good.
